How do I get another number plate when mine is sold?
When a private number plate is removed from your car you will automatically be allocated a standard replacement registration number for the car. Your V5C Registration Document will be replaced. Your tax and MoT information will be updated on the DVLA's computer systems. You don't need to pay for another registration number.
Alternatively, if you have another private number plate that you'd like to use, we can transfer it to the car for you at the same time (instead of having a standard one issued).
